Founder of Color Landing Studio, Montaha Hidefi is a world-renowned Color Archeologist™ with over 15 years of sound, world track record in the color field. Throughout her career she dealt with color marketing, color ideation, color rationalization, color trends and color forecasting, and strategic marketing.
From her comprehensive background and expertise in the coatings and chemicals industry, powder coatings and special effects pigments, Montaha understands that color is not a mere aesthetics but encompasses color perception under different light sources, color reproducibility in various media and production settings, and color communication through technical and scientific color notations and values in the physical and digital verses.
In 2020, Montaha established the notion of Color Archaeology™, a trademark of Color Landing Studio, to best define the practice of color forecasting and its intricacies. Color Archaeology incorporates the skills and expertise to track and observe societal trends, analyze how they are interpreted in current times, and predict how they will evolve into the future.
Montaha lectures and keynotes about color and trends virtually and in-person at international events and corporate settings. Her articles on color are published in countless trade publications.
To support the color field and transmit her knowledge and legacy, Montaha serves on the Executive Committee of various not-for-profit associations in Canada and the USA. She is Vice President of Color Forecasting at Color Marketing Group® (CMG), Executive Committee Membership Head at the Colour Research Society of Canada (CRSC) and Vice President at the Canadian Freelance Guild (CFG).
Montaha holds a master’s in International Business from the University of Wollongong in Dubai, a master’s in Business Administration from the University of Sherbrooke in Longueuil, Quebec, and a master’s in Translation from the University of Damascus in Syria. Montaha was born and raised in Venezuela, and lived and worked in South America, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
She is the author of three memoirs; Giving Voice to My Silence, Dando voz a mi silencio, and Groping for Truth, and the co-author of Colour Design: Theories and Applications.
